 Yellow House Book (Tabien Baan - Tor Ror 13) Service for Foreigners in Thailand


A Yellow House Book, officially known as the Tabien Baan (Tor Ror 13), is a special house registration document issued to foreign nationals who are legally residing in Thailand. It confirms your official residence and is issued by your local District Office (Amphur).

 

Why Do You Need a Yellow House Book?

  • Serves as official proof of residence in Thailand
  • Essential for obtaining:
    • Thai drivers license
    • Work permit
    • Long-stay visa

  • Useful when registering marriage with a Thai citizen
  • Often required for opening a bank account or purchasing property

Required Documents


  1. Passport with valid visa (original and copy)
  2. Work permit (if applicable)
  3. Marriage certificate (if married to a Thai national)
  4. House ownership document (Chanote) or rental agreement
  5. Blue House Book (Tor Ror 14) of the residence
  6. Thai ID cards and house registrations of 2 Thai witnesses
  7. Letter of residence from your embassy (may be required in some provinces)
  8. All foreign-language documents must be:
    • Translated into Thai
    • Certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs




Application Process

  1. Prepare and translate all necessary documents
  2. Certify translations with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (if applicable)
  3. Submit the application at your local District Office (Amphur)
  4. Attend the appointment with 2 Thai witnesses
  5. Once approved, receive your Yellow Tabien Baan (House Book)
